Ideal & Reality
This series was the telling of my life story. Many of the paintings were repainted images of important paintings I had done in the past, others were completely original, mostly narrative paintings about a time, place or event. All of the paintings in the show came with a story. I also wrote out my life history a chapter at a time and mailed it to 40 people in Cincinnati prior to the show. This was also available to be read at the show. The frames were representative of the title of the show: the white, simple, clear line represents my idea, the ideal - the black twisted frame reality.
You can read all about this show and all of my activities in Cincinnati, in my Cincinnati Project, in projects.
