Early NYC Paintings
With the exception of the 5 paintings with the heavy wooden frames in the 3rd and 4th row which are 30” x 40” (or there about), almost all of these paintings are under 24” and on wood or masonite panel. Unframed, fast paintings, piling up in the studio prior to connecting with a gallery. I think every one of them look really cool here on my website, serving as the connective tissue between this phase and that, but at the time, if you can imagine, it’s just me in a studio cranking this stuff out. You start to wonder if you are just crazy. A lot of the course is like that. You are constantly testing your own belief in yourself.
