Day Thirteen

It was a hot and sunny day, the first hot and sunny day of the year that I had done my Resist! project.

I went to the Park St and Bloomfield Ave location.

I thought that I had arrived too late for the kids getting out of school, but not so.

Indeed, there were A LOT more kids than the day I had tried to be there on time to meet them.

Must of been the weather.

That sun was hot.

It felt like summer.

It brought everyone outside, strutting their stuff, with lots less clothing.

I felt it also.

It was like we were all doing the same dance.

I felt really into it,

a part of it.

I didn’t want to leave.

Usually I split my time between the two locations, but this day I stayed at Park Street for 2 1/2 hours.

It was like I was claiming it.

This is MY neighborhood.

I’m part of the fabric.

Today we are doing THIS.

It’s important.

It’s like I’m popularizing protest.

Making it normal.

I’m ‘that guy’ in the hood.
