1998 Pastels

I started putting up my slides in this archive maybe four or five days ago. This is the first time I have seen most of this stuff since doing or showing it. Some of it, like this entire series, I didn’t even remember doing until just now. It’s not that it’s not important. It’s not that it’s not great stuff. It’s more like great stuff is all I do, and I never turn off, pretty much 12 hours a day.

I was a very serious player / observer of NYC ART for something like 20 years. I went to every gallery that interested me, every cycle of shows. I understand that scene. What’s more, I went to art school, took art history classes, been to lots of shows in lots of museums. I more or less have a grasp of art history.

The universe became my muse when I was 5 years old and it never left. This archive of my artistic effort stretched over a lifetime, I think, speaks of something that is beyond what is or has ever been. I’ve been writing about this in my this just in project (above). I see myself as being signage from an all-inclusive future.
