So if you are following my story: I see my greatest purpose at this time as being to use my NYC foundation to make something of a template that other artists in other townships and cities can use, to gain reputation and footing, by demonstrating what one might try, run-up against, and what this artist did about it.

So in this episode, Studio Montclair did a shout-out invitation for work for their ROADBLOCKS show at their Leach Gallery location - a perfect slipper for this artist’s foot if there ever was one. I thought my two-page cartoon above to be the perfect offering, all things considered.

Don’t you think so?

Alas. I got my rejection email yesterday.

So it’s like we are playing chess: they said ROADBLOCK, I said NO ROADBLOCK, they said ROADBLOCK, my move.

Besides this project here for all time, I’m thinking to attend the November 12th opening and pass out My Montclair Art History Project cards, of which the ROADBLOCK show will now be a chapter.

It would be performance art, demonstrating my on-going conviction that there are no roadblocks, only new opportunities to respond to.
