I am an American.

I am also a professional artist. I live and work in New York City.

My wife is Japanese. I have had many exhibitions in Japan.

This series of paintings was inspired by a recent trip to Japan during the summer of 1996. My hope is that it will convey to the viewer the genuine warmth which I feel for the people there. I also hope that in sharing my window on Japan, it will encourage others to express themselves also and so promote better understanding between people of different cultures.
