"Bleu evolution Show"

I really admire Guy (French) the guy who opened both Bleu evolution and Monkey Room. You can see a photo of Guy toward the end of the Thoughts thread in the Projects folder. I like this photo, as he is looking away. That’s Guy. It’s so hard to get his undivided attention, as he is always thinking about a dozen things. The opening of Bleu was kind of a big thing in the neighborhood. It was like an East Village bar and restaurant – something very new - that we had never had in our neighborhood before. Bleu has stayed pretty much the same since opening, but his other place, now called Monkey Room, is always changing. I always enjoyed watching the moves that Guy would make. He’s very creative, while at the same time being a very serious businessman. I’ve shown at Bleu off-and-on since opening, but other artists have shown there as well. I never hang my writings at Bleu, as it is more of a restaurant. Monkey Room is a coffee place / lounge after four – more a place of public conversation – so I often post my writings alongside my art there.
